Project Description
Nonprofit Website Design for Alaskan Fishing Organization
The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF) is the last remaining active regional fisheries development foundation founded in the mid-1970s. The foundation represents harvesters and processors, plus it supports business and environmental concerns throughout the region.
Project Objectives
For this nonprofit website redesign, our goals included:
- Create a modern, color design for the website
- Improve the overall organization of the website
- Allow for easy customization when the site needs updated with new information
- Design a newsletter template that matches the new feel of the website
Website Design
For the design of this website, it was important that we upgrade their previous site, last down in the early 2000s, to a more modern look. This also meant that the website’s navigation had to be reorganized so that it was easier to find what you were looking for.
Our graphic design team also created an email newsletter template that coordinated with the new website.
Website Build
This nonprofit website was developed on FusionCMS, a content management system. That gave AFDF the ability to customize sections to show off their services and give regular updates about their annual events.
