Award-Winning Web Design for Alaska-Based Adventure Tourism Company

There’s no better way to experience Alaska than strapped to a harness, traveling through the old growth forests and feeling the mountain breeze while roaring down a zipline. With a passion for all things outdoors, Alaska Zipline Adventures is nestled in Alaska’s capital, Juneau, and is run by a couple who are committed to creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences and everlasting memories.

Website Design and Development Successes

Alaska Zipline came to us looking for a website both functional and wild—something that could fully capture the spirit of what they do. Our primary source of design inspiration was the Alaska Zip team's beautiful imagery of Alaskan landscapes. We made these photos the star throughout the website, whether as masthead backgrounds, staff profile shots, or frames for call-to-action spaces.

Our primary objective was to guide the visitor to the booking system. Built on our own content management system, FusionCMS, we made good use of service description content, creating a scalable zipline package area that can be easily updated with new information or service offerings. Set as an easy-to-view grid layout paired with bonus design elements (like a subtle patterned background), it's both fun and easy for users to find the information they're looking for.

The "Book a Tour" page is equally engaging, with content displayed in a variety of ways to guide the user through all the critical bits of info they may need to know prior to booking. We made use of accordion-style content blocks to shorten page scroll and keep FAQ content a quick read, while a centrally located image slider emphasizes all the cool things in store for users if they opt to book.  A unique calendar feature makes tour booking easy while a custom form—available via their contact page—operates in tandem with their ubiquitously listed phone number to ensure inquiring minds always know where to go to source additional info.
