Project Description

eCommerce Website for Early Childhood Footwear Brand

One of the names under the Trimfoot Co. umbrella, Baby Deer is a children’s shoe company that focuses on designing products for all stages of early development; they sell footwear for infants and crawlers as well as fully mobile toddlers who’ve mastered their new walk.

Project Objectives and Successes

As with the other projects we completed for the Trimfoot team, with the Baby Deer design we placed heavy focus on usability and user friendliness. Our straightforward layout and clean navigation menus help reduce the number of clicks users must execute from landing on the site to completing a purchase.

The logo’s soft brown provided our team with color inspiration and is used throughout the site as a heading and accent color. We also designed and developed big, bold spaces for the Baby Deer team to feature important calls to action (such as the newsletter sign-up area at the bottom of the homepage). Soft hover effects provide an extra edge of interest and store area filters make it easy for users to hone in on their desired items.

In addition to the store pages, we developed a blog space for the Baby Deer team to share news and information with their users, a store locator area that makes it easy for interested parties to locate products in person, an about section featuring information for wholesalers, and more.
