eCommerce Website for California-based Electronics Manufacturer

Founded in 1988, DataRay is a pioneer in designing and manufacturing ISO 11146-compliant laser beam profilers. With a legacy of innovation, they have consistently introduced cutting-edge products, including the first beam profiling software for Windows and the latest GigE Vision® CMOS beam profilers. Their mission is to partner with engineers and researchers to tackle laser beam analysis challenges, offering accurate and reliable solutions across diverse applications and wavelengths.

Project Objectives

For this eCommerce website redesign, our main goals included:

• Enhancing UX by updating site navigation and information accessibility
• Maintaining current branding while incorporating new visual design elements
• Solving complex taxation issues by transitioning from Shopify to BigCommerce
• Improving SEO to increase visibility and drive sales

Website Design

For the design of this eCommerce website, our design team focused on enhancing the existing branding while adding modern visual elements. We introduced custom icons and other graphic features to create a professional yet approachable aesthetic. The goal was to make the website visually appealing and easy to navigate, ensuring that users could quickly find the information they needed.

Website Build

This website was developed on FusionCMS, a content management system chosen for its flexibility and robust features. By transitioning to BigCommerce, we addressed the client's complex taxation issues, leveraging its powerful eCommerce capabilities. We also integrated third-party apps like the BackOrder App and Customer Group Auto Assignments App to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
