eCommerce Web Design for Carolinas-based Furniture and Home Furnishings Manufacturer

Viridien transforms outdoor spaces into luxurious extensions of the home, offering an extensive selection of high-quality outdoor furniture and countless custom order options. With showrooms in the Carolinas, they provide inspiration and expertise through their highly trained, tenured design consultants. Viridien's mission is to be the best part of their customers' day, helping homeowners realize their dreams for both outdoor areas and indoor fireplaces.

Project Objectives

For this eCommerce website redesign, our main goals included:

• Ensuring the site appears fun while still appealing to older audiences
• Incorporating previously used colors with turquoise and pink highlights
• Allowing for easy updates to products and collections, and quick form changes
• Integrating a significant amount of video content to enhance user experience
• Optimizing the site for mobile devices for seamless browsing and purchasing
• Improving navigation and search functionality, allowing products to be filterable by material and type

Website Design

For the design of this eCommerce website, our design team focused on creating a fun and approachable aesthetic that would also appeal to older baby boomer audiences. We used light and airy colors, with a palette featuring lighter and darker oranges complemented by the use of turquoise and pink to suit the outdoor living theme. The design balances sophistication with a sense of luxury, reflecting Viridien's identity as a provider of high-quality, premium outdoor furniture. We also ensured that the site is visually engaging by incorporating a significant amount of video content, enhancing the overall user experience.

Website Build

This website was developed on BigCommerce, a content management system that allows for seamless management of products and collections. BigCommerce was the best choice for this project due to its robust capabilities in eCommerce management, enabling the client to instantly update products, collections, and make changes to forms without needing technical assistance. We also integrated HubSpot forms for enhanced customer interaction and made products filterable by material and type, addressing the previous site's navigation issues. The new site is optimized for mobile devices, ensuring a smooth browsing and purchasing experience for users on the go.
