3 Ways to Connect with Your Customers in a New Way
Ideas to Help You Connect With Your Customers or Clients
As you look to deepen connections with your customers, it’s important to analyze what does and does not work for your business. If you feel like you’ve worn out your current avenues - maybe emails are no longer being opened or webinars are less attended - it’s time to get creative. We’re sharing 3 easy ways to connect with your audience. They’re not groundbreaking or ingenious, but they are things that businesses hesitate to do despite the great response we see. Go ahead and try one of these out this week and see if you gain some new interactions from your clients or customers!
Instagram & Facebook Stories
We’ve seen increased time on social media platforms during the past 6 months, meaning that’s a place where your customers are probably looking to in order to hear from you. While you may have been trying to post more frequently on your Facebook and Instagram with more tailored posts, the great thing about Stories is how unedited they need to be. Whether it’s a video of your team packaging up orders to ship out or a casual selfie showing off your branded masks, people love to see the people behind the tailored posts. You can ask poll questions, add fun gifs, and generally keep it lighthearted and easy.
And one of the best parts is that stories only last for 24 hours! You can save them to your highlights, but if you don’t feel like a story is aesthetically up to your normal standards, it’s no problem!
Videos
Whether it’s a Facebook live or a video you post on YouTube, trying out videos is another great way to connect with your audience. Letting customers hear your voice or see your face is a great way to again share the person behind the business. If you’re an eCommerce business, hop on a quick video and talk about one of your products, new or old and walk through why you love it! If you’re a service firm, say a legal firm, hop on and talk about recent rulings in your area or what it means now that the supreme court is back in session.
Videos are a great way to be a bit more casual and again show the people behind the business, which is something that we’re all looking for a bit more these days.
And remember, it doesn’t have to be fancy! Use your camera on your computer or hold an iPhone, we promise it doesn’t have to be too fancy!
Send a Survey
If you’re really looking to better understand more about how your customers feel about your business, you should consider sending out a survey. A survey allows you to learn more about your customers and also shows them that you want to hear from them! With a number of different free survey options out there, you’re not limited to the questions you may want to ask. You can ask about specific products, how their customer experience has been, or what ideas they have to improve your business as a whole… you never know what you may learn from some of your most loyal customers!
If you really want to entice people to fill it out, you can enter them to win a raffle for a gift card if they fill it out.
As promised, these really are pretty simple ideas, but they can go a long way. When it comes to connecting with your customers these days, the ability to do so in person is lacking, so it’s important for you to try and think of new ways to do so.
