Website Design and Development Successes

Big Haul came to us with a current website that was outdated and not friendly on mobile. One primary goal for the new site was to optimize it for all devices. efelle’s experienced team of designers and developers took on this challenge with aplomb—after all, making sites that are mobile responsive and accessible to all is one of our primary values.

With clean element stacking, large and high-contrast text, and a tactile hamburger menu developed in as a fallback for mobile users, the design and development team coordinated efforts to successfully deliver a site that scales beautifully across all screen sizes.

A secondary challenge was to simplify the content and incorporate a streamlined site architecture. Keeping user experience in mind, our team designed and implemented clear, large-scale calls to action that help users flow through the site in an interesting and intuitive way.

Another important new feature is the load calculator. In addition to the above, the load calculator was regularly mentioned as a priority item throughout our conversations with the Big Haul team. Available from the “Pricing” page, this tool gives Big Haul’s users a clear visual representation of how much space may be required for the items they’re trying to offload as well as what the cost for their haul may be. By providing visitors with this feature, Big Haul can reduce administrative inefficiency and the amount of time spent on the phone with potential customers to assess their needs.

We also added a locations section that lists all states, cities, and neighborhoods where visitors can—or will soon be able to—find Big Haul’s services. This new section also doubles as a tool for Big Haul’s SEO efforts, which are focused on long-tail keywords specific to users searching throughout the Puget Sound region and anywhere else Big Haul’s services are available.
