Improving our systems - implementing our new DNS services
In our efforts to continually improve our service offerings, we are in the process of upgrading our DNS services by teaming up with one of the premiere 3rd party DNS providers.
The DNS network operates on a backbone with the largest and most reliable data providers in the business. The network is built with complete redundancy, guaranteeing the highest possible levels of DNS reliability. The servers are located on site at world class facilities with 24/7 support. Each node (cluster of servers) has Internet access via multiple gigabit connectivity to provide maximum throughput for your domain's DNS lookups. Some of the key features:
- Core network built upon equipment by Juniper Networks and Cisco.
- Intelligently-routed bandwidth combines connectivity from over 20 diverse providers. Border Gateway Protocol 4 (BGP4) is incorporated to ensure continuous uptime.
- Intelligent routing equipment reduces latency by allowing incoming and outgoing packets to take the shortest, most efficient path -- this means that the network is optimized for low-latency applications such as DNS.
- Fully redundant, no single point of failure.
The enterprise systems are running / peering with the following data carriers:
- Yipes
- Cogent
- AT&T
- MFN
