Responsive Redesign for Seattle Based Company Taylor Shellfish Farms

 In 1890, the Taylor family’s great-grandfather found his calling in oyster farming, which began the legacy that lives on today. Since then, every generation of the Taylor family has grown up with a passion for shellfish and for the close-knit communities and rugged landscapes of Western Washington. Five generations later, they continue to provide customers with the best shellfish the Pacific Northwest has to offer. The company is dedicated to protecting waters in which their shellfish live, supporting local farming communities and educating the youth of the future.

Taylor Shellfish Farms Website Redesign and Development Needs

Before beginning their website redesign with efelle, Taylor Shellfish engaged in a complete rebrand and were excited to incorporate the changes into their new responsive website. With multiple areas of business to feature including; wholesales, oyster bar locations, shellfish markets, and products for purchase, our objective was to design a site that was easy to navigate as well as visually appealing. Using their stunning photography, we designed a clean layout with bold calls to action to guide and drive customers through the robust, informational pages of their site and drive conversions in their webstore.

The new Taylor Shellfish website is built on Fusion CMS, with specific modules to contain their editable content and images. Our eCommerce module allows Taylor to add, remove and update products in a matter of minutes as well as process their purchases and transactions quickly and efficiently.  With five different brick and mortar stores (with another opening soon!) we utilized the locations module so each store has their own landing page with specific information, images, and downloadable PDF menus.
