New eCommerce Website Launched on BigCommerce for 3D Solutech

eCommerce Website Design on BigCommerce for Tech Filament Producers 

3D Solutech was founded in 2012 with the goal of developing and manufacturing innovative 3D printing filaments. The founders have hope and enthusiasm for the future of 3D printing and wanted to create a high quality and affordable product for fellow 3D printing enthusiasts. 

Website Design 

Being a tech company, we wanted the website design to be clean and straightforward. We used their current colors throughout the design - pulling the variety of blues from their logo and using white and grey as backgrounds and accents throughout the site. With a number of different filament colors, we wanted the site to be a canvas that focused on the products. 

One important aspect of the site that we wanted to address with the design was easy customer service for their customers. The menu is a layered design, with the top tier menu linking to Support, Order Tracking, Account Info, and the Customer’s Cart. The banner also allows for the 3D Solutech team to update with sale info, announcements, or any other relevant information for users. 

eCommerce Website Build

The site is built using a combination of FusionCMS and BigCommerce as the eCommerce engine. This is a popular combination of many of our clients because it allows for a robust content platform, as well as a powerful eCommerce engine. 

Using FusionCMS, we were able to custom design the homepage for the site, as well as include robust designs and functionality for pages like Resources, Gallery, and their blog. 

With a large wholesale audience, it was important for 3D Solutech to have a solid eCommerce engine that allowed for tiered discounts, wholesale accounts, and different customer groups. Using BigCommerce, we were able to include this more robust functionality, while still making it easy for the team to add new products, colors, and more as they grow.
