We're Excited to Announce the Launch of our eCommerce Website for Tierney Brothers

eCommerce Web Design for Tech Company Tierney Brothers

Tierney Brothers specializes in providing technology solutions to a wide range of customers, including schools, governments, and nonprofits. Based in Minnesota, they provide technology all over the midwest and are looking to expand their reach to businesses all over the country.

The different audiences of Tierney required our design team to think specifically about the paths, goals, and CTA’s of each specific audience. Our design team created a custom design based off these goals.

Headless Commerce Puts Content First

From the first time we spoke with the Tierney team, we saw how important content was for them to be able to convey their quality and value proposition to their clients. With a higher price point per product than the average eCommerce site and varying levels in their sales funnel, content was important to inform and lead users to the buying decision.

There is a lot to consider when it comes to the types of users on the Tierney website, including the stage they’re at in the sales funnel, what their goals are, and what types of barriers they may face in the buying process. With these considerations in mind, we decided on a headless commerce approach that would allow us to put content at the forefront of the design.

We used the headless content approach throughout the site, but one that benefited specifically was on the Solutions Page, where we were able to combine eCommerce and informational content.

Solutions Page

The products that Tierney provides offer an array of functionality and applications that can be used by many of their audiences  in different ways. It was important to distinguish that each of the different audiences used similar products, but in different ways and cared about different aspects of them.

With that in mind, we decided to design out a Solutions page on the website that allowed users to explore the products based on their needs. The Solutions pages are divided into searches based on technology: interactive, collaborative, AV systems, digital signage, signs and graphics, and large format printing, as well as searches based on market: corporate, higher education, K-12 education, and government.
